Zeta-Pi Chapter at Oakland University

Chapter History

Our story begins in the mid-1980s, with our Chapter becoming an official part of Sigma Pi Fraternity on March 15, 1986.

Here’s your chance to see how Sigma Pi at OU began, how it’s evolved through the years, and where it stands now as we move toward the future.

We, the Brothers of the Oakland Colony of the Sigma Pi Fraternity, located at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, wish to express our desire to become an active chapter of the Sigma Pi Fraternity, International.

As brothers in union, and as individuals, we have, to the best of our abilities, met, enforced, and maintained the high and honorable standards set forth by this Colony, and the Sigma Pi Fraternity. We have grown in many ways to become brothers in the Oakland Colony, and request that our wish to be initiated into the Bond of Brotherhood, and revealed the secrets of the Sigma Pi Fraternity be granted.

Fraternally Submitted,

The Brothers of Oakland Colony/The Brotherhood of Omega Nu Pi

We were the 10th chapter initiated in Michigan, and Sigma Pi chronicled our chartering in the Spring/Summer 1986 edition of The Emerald magazine.
